This Walmart Employee Painted A Disabled Woman's Nails and It's Truly Heartwarming

Given our current political and social climate it’s easy to think there isn’t much good in the world. Thankfully, we have women like Ebony Harris proving this false. Recently, Harris, a cashier at Walmart in Burton, Michigan, went out of her way to make someone else’s day a little bit better. After seeing Angela Peterson, a woman with cerebral palsy, turned away from a nail salon inside of Walmart, Harris decided to step in. “[I] found out what happened and I just asked her, ‘Do you want me to do your nails?’ And she just started smiling and said yeah,” Harris told CBS affiliate WNEMTV. As ABC noted, Peters uses a wheelchair is a frequent shopper at the store. The two women had met before. “I just wanted to do her nails and I didn’t want her day to be ruined,” Harris told ABC. The pair then moved to Walmart’s Subway where Peterson was given the manicure she deserved. Harris said she wanted this small act of kindness to not only inspire others to do the same, but to also create awareness. “We’re not trying to bash anybody, [or have] anybody lose their business or anything, but create an awareness,” she said. Tasia Smith, who works at the Subway saw the sweet moment and shared it on Facebook.

The act of random kindness is exactly what the world needs in these very trying times.
